The documentary film section is stronger than ever! BIFF marks itself as the most socially and politically involved of the Norwegian festivals – due to the extensive documenatry section focusing on highly current affairs, the most important productions of the year is presented

Of the 50 films in the documentary section, 12 are in competition.

Youth Documentary Award
A jury of school pupils will select the best film presented at special school screenings. The best film will receive a prize of NOK 25.000, given by Sparebanken Vest.
