A fascinating story about migration and identity in the modern world
Notions of home, identity and belonging are all examined in 37 USES FOR A DEAD SHEEP: Ben Hopkins’ fascinating and insightful portrait of the Pamir Kirghiz tribe from Central Asia and their fateful clash with history. During the last 100 years, they have moved through 5 different countries before finally settling in Turkey. Through inventive narrative, Hopkins creates a film that is an engaging ethnographic and cultural study of exile, migration and identity in the modern world.
